System Interfaces

TerminalBOSS™ is capable of interfacing with external systems such as accounting packages directly using SQL stored procedures. Reports can be converted into a flat file and imported by other databases or simply viewed and altered using a spreadsheet program. These interfaces are bidirectional, allowing the administrator to import database information, such as lists of companies, locations, drivers, etc. into the TerminalBOSS™ database.

TerminalBOSS™ can interface to any automation device capable of communication using a standard protocol (i.e. PLCs, RTUs, Preset Devices, Flow Computers, Scale Indicators, and Smart Meters).

The interface to controllers and preset devices enables:

  • Riser control
  • Gathering transferred data
  • Authorization to load
  • Preset setpoint
  • Riser status
  • Product selection
  • Etc

TerminalBOSS™ can be interfaced to any controller, allowing the facility controller to be utilized for riser control, instead of dedicating an additional controller for riser control. This has many advantages; cost savings, ease of maintenance, continuity in company automation standards, and availability of the riser data in the existing plant HMI or SCADA system where required.
